One of the Last Battles of the Civil War
On this date in 1865 one of the last battles of the Civil War began - The Battle of Averasborough which was part of Carolina campaign. Although the battle was considered inconclusive, 865 Confederates were killed and the South could ill afford this loss of man power. The video clip is from the 1989 film Glory which focuses on the battle of Fort Wagner.
