First Female Prime Minister of Isreal

Golda MeirOn  this date in 1969 Golda Meir becomes the first female Prime Minister of Israel. On 8 December 1978, she died of cancer in Jerusalem at the age of 80. She was buried on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem on 12 December 1978.
